I just saw this guy playing on PS, at 100/200 NL. Then my mind triggered.
This is the ID of one of the top International Scrabble players. I know, because I used to play semi-competitively, and I met him at the World Youth Scrabble Championships. He was 18 at the time, which makes him 20 right now, I think. The PS location is indeed where he lives (melbourne), and the screenname he used for Scrabble was exactly the same.

So either:
A) It's him
B) Someone played Scrabble a long time ago, found this name (Must've been #1 from what I recall), and took his ID for some reason.

As I find B really unlikely, I have to believe A for now.

Does anybody know who this guy is?

I also found an update on the Aussie Millions with a dude named David E Eldar. This is so sick if it's actually him- anybody know if he's actually a good player or not? I'm kind of ignorant towards the high stakes that seem a tier below full out nosebleeds.

hes a good player with solid work ethic who grinds tons. he hasnt been playing poker for long, like a year iirc and made his way to the top stakes on stars really quickly and grinds long hours and plays a lot. probably puts in the most hands at 25/50 nowadays out of all the regs

A year would definitely fit that timeline. He was going into his undergrad when I met him, I wonder if he's still in school (assuming this is him). Does he have time for class with the hours he plays?

Most complacent guy I've ever met tbh, seemed like he was bored of Scrabble when he was there (to be fair he was like 10x better than the next kid there). But he didn't really talk to anybody, even people from his nation.

I'm glad he found poker. He works really hard and probably realized, like me, that Scrabble is shit for pay. If you're gonna work hard, may as well get paid for it. $25k for a world championship once a year? Yeah fuck that. No idea if he still plays, though. All that memory of words and such is probably still encased in his mind- those damn words never go away.

I even have a pamphlet as a souvenir of the tournament.

Favourite word: DAVIDIA (for obvious reasons).

lololol

I just couldn't believe it, as he expressed no interest in poker when I met him. I just wanted to know if someone was randomly using his ID or if it really was him. All the info I know is about David Eldar. I didn't know if he was the one piloting the account
