AK might not be the nut but it's a pretty clear cb here. 1/2.5 seems like a good sizing.

I think with the full stack reg next to act that is stuck between u and the fish I think a small cbet works well here...because I think even if reg has you beat he probably is not incentived to raise you much here (at least thats how I play)

I'd hope to get to play vs the fish and proceed with caution if reg comes along.

As far as simplification goes I think it works betting range(or close to it) because you shouldn't have much that doesn't connect with the board given the fish is short stacked so you really should be weighted towards premium pairs + high cards with equity preflop.

I might be wrong tho. Its either that or range check.

I mean maybe theres an argument to be made with cbetting your entire range heads up but I'm sure 3 way we just check fold. We're expecting fish to not fold if he has a piece, so why would we ever bet 99..?

I brought up 99 because I played similar spot albeit i got heads up vs a 100bb stack...I squeeze 88 from bb and got similar all Broadway rainbow board that clearly favors squeeze range.

Completely different cause its hu and 100bb I didn't runt the sim but someone told me its a cbet in solver land.

I think it's reasonable for some preflop ranges where 99 is one of the worst hands u arrive here with esp with the 40bb fish so I think its a good place to start thinking about the hand.

For example sizing wise if we bet even 1/3 i don't think it makes any hand difficult to play on flop. All better hands (than 99) play perfectly vs us by flatting and all worse hands have way less than 25% equity so can easily fold even with positional advantage.

With that logic I think I like neillys sizing of 25%.

Not necessarily saying we have to cbet 99 multiway here esp with fish in pot. Gawdawful is right balance doesn't matter with the fish here.

I think I did the math wrong. Villain has 53.50 to start hand and pot on flop is 18~ give or take. So he should have about 47.50 left on the flop, so $6 is too small. Maybe half pot-ish, so $9.50~ and rip turn

I'm more in favor of a quarter psb if we have AA. Also more in favor of a slightly bigger bet with JJ/TT as we unblock AX combos

hm ic. I can see that line being viable/good and esp if we are just trying to play certain hands against fish having this line as an option not worrying about balance is pretty good way to think about things.

I guess we can have some bet folds with like, I dunno, K5s or Q7s that squeezed pre for whatever reason

I largely agree. I usually cbet very small. You can probably cbet a reasonably high frequency if you use a very tiny 1/10th size here, as even with that size your making someone with 87s or even pp's fold. This also allows you to cbet with hands like QQ/KK. This spot is very hard to figure out what sims would do.

1/3 sizing is great too. I like having a 1/10th size in these spots when more than 10% of their range is pp's and suited connectors though.

Range check is definitely not a strategy here though, with a board that is good for you and a fish in the pot.

When the fish raises your bet and the raise is less than a minimum raise, other players who have already acted are not given the option to re-raise. That's a rule in no limit and pot limit. So a good strategy would be to bet like 9$ if he has 17$ left, if reg calls and fish shoves, reg can't come over the top when it's back to him. No reason to commit yourself out of fear in this scenario, and you always get a turn card drawing to the nuts.
