Nice performance from Martinez. His kicks confused Almeida in R1, and then he used them again in R2, and then he stopped using them in R3 when Almeida was forced to rush in to strike which meant Martinez just had to counter since he was up on the cards.
I did notice that Almeida seemed a little hesitant in R2 and R3. Maybe he was still thrown off by the kicks in R1, but I dunno. Still a good performance by Martinez. |

I just noticed I have Martinez in 1 team on DraftKings, but it doesn't matter because he only scored 66 points, which is terrible for a winning fighter. |

Someone said that Krause said his knee is torn. Probably why the line was only -120.
Anyway, James Krause 2-1. Silva had nothing left after R1.
Terrible fight as expected.
We either see Claudio Silva in 1 year or more from now, or he gets cut since he is old and strikes like a 90-year-old. |

Now I don't care who wins the main event, since Fight Metric screwed Park and only gave him 73 points total (they said he only landed 10 significant strikes the entire fight). All my best combos had Park in it. |

I stopped watching the main event a little after R3 started.
Ortega used a good game plan, and KZ never got out of first gear. zZzZzZz
Next week's card will be good at least, and I'll be in Vegas for it. See you guys then. |

i really did not see tonight's main event happening like that, but in retrospect, it makes sense.
tkz is super counter heavy, and ortega has struggled against high output pressure (max, even guida), although he looked good tonight, it really answered nothing about the rest of the top of the division since tkz fights at a much slower pace than basically everyone else in the division (sans katter maybe).
really think ortega needs another win before he gets another title shot considering how bad max smoked him |
