However, Teixeira pulled out on August 14 due to a shoulder injury. He was replaced by Thiago Santos. In turn, Manuwa pulled out on September 16 due to an undisclosed injury and was replaced by Eryk Anders on September 16.

- Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos was expected to face Belal Muhammad at the event. However on September 14, it was announced that Muhammad pulled out due to injury and was replaced by promotional newcomer Luigi Vendramini on September 14.

Like Anders here too. Not sure how the matchup plays out stylistically. Just think Anders is the real deal beyond just his athleticism/power. And Thiago makes a lot of defensive mistakes striking which gets overlooked because of his offense

People also think Santos is a good striker, even though he isn't.
Santos is big, hits hard, and comes forward. Most people can't take his power, so they get knocked out. Santos hasn't actually shown good technique in his striking, just hard leg kicks and one big punch at a time.
Santos has also been known for slowing down and not looking good if he can't get the finish under 1.5 rounds, which I haven't seen anyone mention in this fight. Anders is the one who accepted this fight, so he must see a way to beat Santos. Also, Anders has went 5 rounds recently against Machida, and while it was a shitty fight, he lost a split-decision to the Brazilian in Brazil, and showed his cardio wasn't terrible.
If Santos can't finish Anders in R1, Anders will fuck him up. I expect Anders to show some of his athleticism in this fight and once again expose the often overrated Santos.

EDS is so good for a guy who is not well known mainstream. Unfortunately all the book makers knew this already that's why they're always all in on him on betting lines.
Compared to Max Holloway's run to the belt, he was mostly an underdog in the betting lines before he became a champion iicr correctly. He was a gold mine.
lol Happy with a draw for Markos, bet was void because of that decision. She was clearly losing 2-1.
longple: ur missing the point! this is an attempt to get away from the bumhuntmentality!

Weird performance from Barao...
He got knocked down in R1 for rushing in, but got right back up and got the clinch and take down and was on top of Ewell for most of the round. Then when R2 started, he seemed to have no energy left and kept getting hit by the same punch. Ewell didn't even do anything special in this fight except for throwing a straight left over and over again.
I guess Barao really is done.

was barao any better than he is nowadays? he always looks like a punching bag after round 1. The moment i saw him using all his tank to try and take ewell down i knew he would be dead tired right away
