Coup in Turkey, army lock downs cities

Again big words news event, just day after attacks in France:

Turkish military locks down bridges of Bosphorus that connecting European & Asian sides of Istanbul; Possible Coup!

Istanbul's Bosphorus Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge were both closed on Friday, local television channels reported, without giving a reason.

Dogan News Agency footage showed cars and buses being diverted. CNN Turkey showed two military vehicles and a group of soldiers lined up at the entrance of one of the bridges in Turkey's biggest city.

A Turkish official who did not want to be named said soldiers had been deployed in other cities in Turkey, but did not specify which ones.

Dogan News Agency reported the national police directorate summoned all police to duty in Ankara.

Coup timing: Erdogan is on Holiday in Bodrum.
All airports closed at the moment, tanks on the streets.

Well depending on the militaries ambitions this is either a great thing or Europe just got fucked more than all of the terrorist acts combined.
Erdogan is a psychopat, Turkey has basically become Russia of the near East... not if this leads to flood of millions of people to Europe though
All in all I'm guessing they d be going towards the better option facing the fact that they are doing the coup the most civillized way possible, waited for him to go to a holiday, locked airports, got tanks out, no blood spilled.

I'm reading about countrys history for over an hour now, and this is 6th(!!!) coup since 1960.

Basically, the army has always been keeping radicals from putting too much religion into running the country and it's well know that Erdo?an is a declared far-islamic. So it looks like they had enough of that shit and decided to pull one on him, again.

Honestly, this looks like it might only be good for both the country (if you consider Islam bad) and Europe.

Turkey was developing extremely well until the last few years where Erdogan turned int oa psycho. He s trying to bring back islam, he s literally seized all of the media of the country, there have been people sentenced to prison because of twitter posts against him. The political opposition was either killed or put behind bars. He even went after a few army generals last year if i recall correctly. Guess they got tired of his bullshit.
