Lol Ashley Madison password crack - Page 2

I was interviewed on a radio show a couple weeks ago about the details of this hack. The security was really weak on the site's part. They had been compromised for over a year and had no methods to detect infiltration. They also stored credentials to the payment processor on the servers which were then used to link back all the accounts to actual payment details.

This new detail about how they created this md5 hash with all lowercased versions of the passwords + usernames is pretty gross. Passwords are a very real problem.

No you don't understand that the parameters of the example you gave has consequences towards other parties like the kid. There s no way the environment would be stable in that scenario, if its stable then both parents would have an open relationship and there would be mutual consent in which case it wouldn't be an affair

I'm fine with people being scumbags as long as they don't try to justify it in a way that softens their action

That being said obviously the people responsible for the hacking should be trialed, but something tells me no one ll find them

@Romm3l i realize i come off as extreme in the circumstances, but you went beyond it. If basic moral principles are equivalent there s not much to be discussed

just because it's an unstable environment doesn't mean it's not the best of the available options for the child.

Being registered at such a site and considering an affair is very different from actually having an affair. Maybe someone looking for adventure after being married for ages changed his mind last second and got his / her act together?
Then there are also plenty of couples with an open relationship, but want to keep their private life private for their neighbourhood or family members. Many people are now screwed due to these guys leaking everything into the public.
