I dont know too much about Woobblys story, but he was a regular poster here so I thought the mentioning of both him and Liquidpoker was pretty funny. Apparently WCGRider crushed his soul. WCGRiders podcasts are usually great in themselves so def check it out:

Wobbly story starts at around 11:00 sharp.

i read about this before. on 2p2 there is a picture of him holding a wad with the caption "thanks wobbly". I think he posted here that he suspected he was cheated by some crazy gto program.

The story of wobbly_au, wobbling through PokerStars making his margins. I will end it there because i do not want to tell another man's story, especially when we did not always have the best of relationships. I will say running into a relatively unknown monster and getting eaten alive happens to the best of us. Getting a little crazy playing poker hands day in and day out is a certainty as well. Ahhh, memories.

I have learned from poker that being at the table is not a grind, the grind is living and poker is how I pass the time

WCG seems like a cool guy
can't really force myself to watch more than 15minutes of this though ... feels like random conversations between 2 friends and thats okay, but not really worth watching i guess?

too bad he couldn't find the picture he made though :D

at the time it started, WCGRider was known more as a decent-but-not-great low-midstakes fullring grinder who spazzed out a lot preflop and played a shitload of hands at a marginal winrate. so when he started regularly battling good regs at mid-high stakes and winning, wobbly as well as a few other people suspected someone else was playing on WCG's account.

i probably wouldn't defend wobbly for too many things, but i think given the circumstances at the time, the suspicions were pretty understandable. there were other LPers in those games who felt the same way.

I'm pretty sure in one of the previous pod's Doug did with Joe, he had mentioned Wobbly at length. There was like 3-4 guys that single handedly got him from 2/4 to 25/50. I definitely remember that Nanonoko was another one that he crushed really hard.

I found it interesting that he also mentioned in that most recent pod that he thought Wobbly was still winning even though Doug himself was already winning so much off of him. Kinda speaks to how strong of a player Wobbly was in that time playing 6m and FR I'd imagine

online bob is actually a pretty smart person, not at all like the creepy fucker that sits in the sofa telling me he does nasty shit to me when im asleep - pinball

he was referring just to playing wobbly HU but I think he was saying that in the FR and 6m games wobbly was still a big winner
