my wife thought that maybe it was upside down M for Morgan who was apparently some crazy dude from before but I only watched like 1 episode from the first 4 seasons so i dunno

Yeah, I thought it could be an upside down M, too. Although, I'm not sure what it stands for. Whatever it is, it will probably be a major focus of next season.

why people disliked the episode ending? I like it a lot, it shows Rick as an actual fallible human and not some kind of monodimentional hero only debating thowards how brutal he should be

I disliked it because he was backstabbed and because he's been set up to fall. If the lady in charge of the town was trying to outplay Rick and garner support then she succeeded and he played right into her hands. Rick's own duty and judgement was undermined despite his background as a police officer and having lead the group for years now. Not saying he was 100% right although I do think he was mostly right but his own people should have had his back somehow. Initially people were on the same page as Rick but they've been socially infiltrated and divided by the new town. The creators of the show want to draw that aspect out into the finale and make us wonder if it'll lead to the destruction of the town out of spite or if they'll band together against the mysterious "W/M" or others. Pretty much anything could happen but it's likely a lot of the town will die next episode + walls breached imo

Not really a waste of space if what I'm trying to explain is that the show is getting wayyyyyyy to slow lately and that the company is trying to make the most money out of it. I just hate it when we're getting dragged into it. It's a shame because I really liked the show.
My dream would be that all the fans get angry for it being to slow and ask the company to do something instead of whorshiping every episode like it's the next Messiah.

I just hope baal realizes it...

oh well I get you can dislike the groups actions, but I thought you meant from writing perspective, I never felt like they blindly followed Rick in fact there has been constant disagreement, Michonne just before getting in this town was arguing with him all the time and I think its easy to see for everyone that Rick is doing this because of the girl

I dont worship it at all, I just enjoy a zombie that focuses more on drama and the human aspect than just just some cheap hack and slack action movie, also it would become extremely repetitive if they just fought hordes and hordes of zombies, I think the show limits itself on how scary situations can be by how slow the zombies are, zombies in 28 days later simply create a much more tense feeling because you are not safe any second, on TWD zombies are slow that they are just an annoyance and pose no threat unless you somehow corner yourself in a stupid way or somebody blows up a random grenade.

This show is so slow!!! That's why I haven't watched the newest season, Tom and I are watching Vikings instead which I highly recommend.

The first half of the current season was the best part of the entire show. There was a lot going on. This Sunday will be a 1.5 hour season finale, which should be decent.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. Constant actions movies would bore me to hell since we've been seeing those shits a LOT lately (Marvel's movies anyone ? Or transformers ? Or whatever they're throwing at us that comes from hollywood). I really like the psychology's part aswell. It's just that I saw someone resuming every show by a single picture, and I just couldn't unsee it :

I'm not sure what it is about this show. I enjoy it sometimes, get annoyed by it sometimes. Its not necessarily the downtime when the characters are doing nothing, I think its the lack of character development or lack of anything significant that happens when the show is slow.

I'm not saying the writers never develop characters, because they do. I just don't feel like they do it well sometimes. There just seems to be a lack of consistency with regard to how good the content is. I think that is the frustrating thing. Some episodes I feel like the show is great, others I feel like it's garbage. I mean that episode where Tyreese died, that episode was terrible, a waste of an hour. Felt like a complete filler episode. I know it was supposed to be some type of spiritual thing, and bringing characters back, etc. but it just sucked.

Another issue is I don't think many of the characters are very good actors. I think the guy that plays Rick is inconsistent. Sometimes does a good job, sometimes kind of poor. When characters die, depending who they are, sometimes I don't care that much. I didn't really care when Tyreese died; I don't think his character was developed well and I don' t think the guy who played him was a very good actor and perhaps that combination made me feel that way. The same could be said for Noah a couple episodes ago; although the graphic way he died made it more unsettling, but that was just because of the graphic nature, I really didn't care that the character died specifically.

Overall the show is inconsistent and I think that is the root of frustration for many, including me. But I will keep watching because of the flashes of brilliance that occur occasionally with acting, story, and writing. But those moments are too far apart in my opinion.

The season finale was decent. I was hoping it would be better, but whatever...

Yeah I thought the finale was awesome. Really fast pace and nothing ridiculous (apart from maybe Glenn escaping those walkers on top of him with a gunshot wound).

They're going back to having just 1 black guy on the show at a time. The priest will hopefully get killed early next season, which means Morgan will be the new HNIC.

didnt feel like a season finale since there was little conclusion but the whole season was good it had good pace
