in howard interview he mentions having to spend 1/3rd of his trust to bail out his dad. i dont think bankruptcy liquidation could take assets from his kids set up in trusts so he probably put a shit ton of money in there for his kids and wife, etc.

i think danny boy did win a shit ton of money from poker. i dont think he came out of no where, he was already wealthy from his trusts. he was playing $100 games just learning, probably before he had access to the majority of his trust.

playing in rich home games over time can be very profitable - isn't that was doyle had to do back in the day? pretty sure he wrote about it.

he says he is far from best player, etc, he just gets in good games. look at the pros in macau. they are winning insane sums and losing insane sums but they also chop up their action. dan independently wealthy outside of poker.

i dont think he would need to lie about poker as justification of his trust fund money. there are plenty of wealthy people who did scummy things to get it and no one cares what you did, just that you have the money

why the hate for him either? he posts pictures doing fun stuff. i cant say that if i had his money i wouldnt do some of the same things.

i think those who have hate for him, deep down, wish they were him

I dont hate him nor analyze him or anything like that, but its just dumb to think he is the biggest winner in the history of poker, he is simply living from the money his dad stole, plain and simple
