Well that wasn't just a cardio issue for Maia. Maia has gone 5 rounds twice and his cardio was ok. He looked the way he did because those body kicks took it out of him.

Agree it wasn't a great performance though. Rory might have worst killer instincts than GSP. He had both Maia & BJ barely able to stand for 2 rounds and didn't try to put them away at all. He easily could of finished Maia in that 2nd round.

Maia has had cardio issues in so many fights now and the fight against Anderson was just five rounds of hopping around. Cummins looked pretty good I can't imagine guys having to fight him in tiny shows just to get destroyed. Hope he gets to fight again soon.

iirc his cardio was decent in the shields fight. He had a last minute flurry where he had way more energy than he did in both rounds 2 & 3 tonight combined.

I think he often looks slow when it goes to distance it's just a variation of how slow exactly.
