Kicker The kicker is a card that hasn′t paird with the board, and it is used to determine the winner in the case that two players have similar holdings. For example, if the board reads A-4-3-7-8, one of the players is holding A9 and the other is holding AJ, the second player will win because his kicker (the Jack) is stronger than the first player′s kicker (the Nine).
