Should I have called, should I have folded on the flop raise or was it a good fold?

Just shove the flop when he raises

Hm, I didnt think of that in the heat of the moment, but it does make a lot of sense when thinking back on it now.
I'm quite bad at judging when to shove tbh, and I struggle to make decisions vs alot of aggression, I often don't feel certain where I stand in such situations.

this is a 3b pot and you have aces, there are draws on the flop he can raise with, thats all you need to know.

I thought the instashove on the turn was pretty scary, and I feared he might have pocket Js or AJ. Am I wrong for assuming this? I decided to fold cause I've overplayed my overpairs sooo many times.

You need to play your strong hands strong. If you fold your strong hands you can not win. True, this is a situation where a fold isn't attrocious in game theory, but in reality you are losing money by folding here. You are making money if you have the best hand more than 30% of the time here.

Everything thats said above, shove flop is a must here. When you are thinking of hands a villain could have always think in terms of ranges and not just hands that have you beat. In this case on the flop there are only a very few combinations of hands he has that have you beat, whereas the combination of hands you're ahead of is much much bigger.

Look at his hand and equities, what do you expect him to have here, uno cards? - TianYuan

what's the difference between game theory and reality?
In theory your losing exactly the same amount of money as in reality, by folding here... Just use logic.

Thanks for the advice I'll keep it in mind, I understand why I'm wrong and what you guys suggest is right. All in on the flop idd. And like Hoolz said, I definitely need to think more in ranges of hands.
