Posts 3848 just brushing up on math i've heard set mining is only profitable in 3-bet pots when around 140bb deep? your odds of hitting a set is 1 i believe, so you want pot/stack ratio to be around that? for simplicity if it was heads up, and hero 3bet to 100, and pot was 200 with hero having 900 left, this is only 1:4.5 pot/stack ratio. but even if he had 1300 left that is still only 1.5 pot/stack ratio. was wondering where the 140bb deep rule came from

Im pretty positive evilsky thought he was beat but called anyways. You cant expect every player to play optimally based on math. I couldnt even pass algebra 2, so I prob make mathematically incorrect plays from time to time.
