100% check behind

If it had been 1 person in you could bet, but now with two persons either you have the best hand (in which case you don't mind a check since you're the one with most outs) by a mile, or you're beat and they will come over the top. Think of the hands they can have, then ask yourself why you would bet it. If you bet and they fold you are not at all 'stealing' the pot, all it would mean is you had the best hand and they folded. Most of the time action on this turn will kill you. KT, AQ, JA are all quite likely and when they don't have any of those hands the ace is a huge scare card for them and you will be betting them out, when you are the one with the best hand + outs.

oh nice, didn't know this turned into a discussion thread. But that does make sense. But just to tell you why i bet. I felt i did indeed have the best hand or not behind by much. So might as well get my money in there. But a check and a free card for the nuts wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
But as i say. I'm hypo agressive.

Btw there's similar situations where you got many outs + possibly the best hand where you should bet to create a bigger pot. but whenever you do so there has to be the possibility that they can flat call your bet with the hand they got. For example 9A on 2469 with two clubs. If he has a hand like 6A/77/88 (alot of other hands too including overpairs) he could very well flat call your bet. Then it's good to make another stab at the pot for both value and to create a bigger pot in case you hit. I feel like you misjudged the situation in your hand with one of those. They are very similar but at the same time very different.

but another thing, would the guy put his stack in there when a flush card comes off? In this case i'm making sure that when i do hit my straight/2 pair/flush i can get their stack or at least a bigass pot since i bet strong on the turn (usually fish can't put me on a flush after that). Plus the table thinks i'm loco which gets my pushes paid off well.

But i do feel that i made a mistake in this specific situation your logic makes sense. But I simply did what i'd generally do with cards like these. GET MY MONEY IN!

doesn't matter if he pays off when something hits, cause he wouldn't have paid you a dime without the better hand on turn, so it's always an improvement
