Although it was a pretty bad suck out at the end, I remember when I played .50/1.00 NL I would always try never to go too crazy after flopping anything good with AK. It's not the nuts. Also in a small stakes ring game, I don't feel like AK merits a reraise. If you are truely a better player, you will find a way to get a bigger edge when you take players to the flop and outplay them there. Because you reraised preflop, your play on the flop makes a bit more sense. Thats my two cents on how I use to play.
