Why do you check the turn ?? It doesn't really seem to have a purpose to me. The turn is super good for you, you are beating a possible AK now, you are still beating any worse K. I think you kind of make you decision on the flop when calling that you are good or not since you aren't calling for odds or anything, if you know what I mean.

Kind of hard for me to explain what I mean + it's 1:15 AM here. The thing I am trying to say is, I think once you call that flop you probably think you are good and betting the turn is the optimal play to extract extra value from whatever worse he was c/r'ing the flop with. He could be bluffing and giving up on the turn but even then I'd bet the turn (adding that in his range) obviously not to fold out bluffs but you can't give an 100% accurate range and you leave value from worse K's or PP's once you check turn.

You are even in position, if you want to keep pot smaller on river after betting the turn, that's probably doable with checking behind if you think you ended up value-owning yourself.

I am rambling, hope somebody solid comes along to explain more, lolol.

I disagree. you could probably get three streets from a king, but the minraise on paired flop then check turn is often a pocket pair that wants to buy a cheap showdown. I think you get value from these more often by checking turn and betting river than you do by bettin turn. Just my experience though.

so are you always going to check with a good hand and bet with your bluffs?

i bet the turn with my entire flop flatting range which does include a lot of air as well

well maybe not my entire flatting range. exceptions would be hands like TT-QQ because they have showdown value

I don't find a need to balance my range that much in spots like these yet.
