I'm still trying to nail all the basic concepts of poker and I'm curious to why you checked the flop

from his turn play i would put him on a low pocket pair that flopped a set. he wouldnt bet and minraise with anything less than trip queens. AA and KK will not have minraised. at best he has Q with a lower kicker, but i doubt he would call pf raise with Qx. thus the correct move is is fold to his all in. Then again, im assuming hes a tight/aggressive. u may have had ur own read on him based on previous hands.

it was only 25 to win a pot of 50Last edit: 04/01/2006 22:59

he could easily have AQ KQ QJ

by the time of the all in i was getting over 2:1 odds. i have a redraw plus the chance im ahead. i even have a redraw against AQ. i dont think i can fold there with over 2:1.

i advise small bets on the flop here

if he has a flush draw he will call and you want to build the pot

i dont understand that play. If he bets twice at the pot like that; theres a good chance he flopped a set? Especially after he goes all in; at the very least he has AQ. I think this could have easily been folded.

I probably would have called the turn just to see what the fucker had. trip queens with AQ and the nut flush draw isn't an easy fold at all

eZ Life.
