He has limped UTG, and just called your raise, a wide range of hands do this, low pp, suited connecters, etc.
I would raise to 2.5 preflop, re-raise flop to 6-8. Fold to any more aggression, check fold the turn.

I agree. I played it pretty passively. However, the fact, that he bet into me on this flop made me wonder. Usually I would play this more aggressively.
I thought I will call the flop and see how he proceeds on turn. the Ace even worsed the situation so I folded.

Hmmm, my play was weak there. Shouldn't have done that.

money won is twice as sweet as money earned. Last edit: 02/06/2007 03:23

he would do that with any pocket pair, he might have hit his A, with like A,2-10 suited.
The point is his range is big, and this shouldnt be your default play, especially against regular donks at 50nl. With reads and stats, it can be a different story ONCE in awhile.

He might as well have a monster here. KK, KJ, it wouldnt surprise me. typical of players at this level, but the point is his range is so wide that you just cant give it up like that, board is paired, QQ is good here most of the times espeically with K here not an A (on flop).... they might fold k-5, k-6 suited with that raise preflop but a-x is instant call.
