in poker if you make a bet that nobody matches then their hands are considered "dead" or they've folded as we say and you win all the money in the middle which is called the pot

this bet size arguably doesn't fold better hands and AQ in this specific poker scenario possibly has something that ppl who play poker call "showdown value"
