would be pretty comfortable getting in on the flop
he shouldnt be using small sizes on this board texture, doesnt make any sense
in theory I shouldnt be raising this texture for the same reason that he shouldnt use the small size, but he's a tool

it kinda does, since his range crushes urs and you could be underdefending vs smaller sizes... then again I dont know how he gets value when he wants to get value or how he balances small & big sizes on flop

just no
1. from where you got the idea that is hard to defend vs small size on this board?
2. from where you got the idea that OOP range crushes IP range ?

Big because in position player calls with any non pocket pair and any gutshot.

And I think it's pretty obvious OOP range crushes in position range. IP rarely has AK and almost never has AA or KK

you are wrong, having nut range advantage doesnt mean that it has equity advantage or that it crushes
thats why it doesnt make any sense to have high frequency smaller bets, overall equities are very close on this board ( which is very unusual in 3bp, oop usually has a big advantage ) since IP range is way more Ax and Kx heavy that the equities are pretty much lockdown and OOP doesnt have the overpair advantage anymore, and has more suited crap that totally missed the board but still have some nut potential on some runouts like 76s 64s w bdfd, which fit prefectly on the big size, there's no hand that needs protection on OOP range ( 99+ doesnt have enough equity to bet for protection because IP has too much Ax and Kx ), all these are characteristics of a classic polar vs capped range and it asks for a big bet size

yeah your reasoning does make sense regarding ranges and this board

  1. from where you got the idea that is hard to defend vs small size on this board?

I didn't say its hard, I said it makes sense for him to be betting it like that cause you would have to defend with almost your entire range and could force you into a mistake.

yea but this board is one of the easiest to defend vs small bets, nobody will underdefend at these stakes
