good to know that calling isn't an option

Calling in position is absolutely an option

there's still the UTG raiser behind though. this hand doesn't play particularly well multiway. but maybe calling is still ok?

i would certainly call AQs, this seemed like a better 4bet bluff. perhaps i should have folded to the allin but decided i had too much invested

population frequencies at nl25 have a lower 3bet % than what i play against, and typically AQs is a 4bet bluff in this spot when im playing. I think a good strategy is to cut out flat call ranges altogether here.

well the BEST strategy would be to have both a calling range and a cold 4betting range but I personally don't know the strategy, also cold 4betting is a lot easier, that said you should probably do it mostly with suited combos and AQo may be done at some frequency but always fold to the jam obviously, in these position even AKo might be pretty damn close to a fold

can't possibly fold AKo for 16 more after putting in 6? that's why i decided to call here, only need about 35% equity. but in hindsight AQo prob has less than that. i'm honestly not sure what kind of hands 3bet/jam over 4bet in these spots, aside from obvious premiums like QQ-AA and AK. like is that his range right there? am i crazy to think maybe he could have AJs or KQs or something?

huh yeah you're crazy, the only 5bet bluff you see here is A5s and most regs don't pull it off because they're scared money, especially at micro so you will run into AA/KK and AK probably, QQ might just call, some bad regs also always call AK and KK there and only shove AA

outside of a major read, this is a huge spew. In these games cold 4bet/folding ak isnt even out of the question, its likely standard practice. Dump AQo everytime,
