shove river ... he has few 8x after x/c twice

once u bet flop and turn u gotta expect u r just always shoving the river ... if the Q paired is the only card i wouldn't shove.

Yes i agree as Marshall said; you pretty much wanna play it like you would all your overpairs and nuts

Maybe you felt like you had enough showdown with this and wanted to use worse hands for bluffing?

No showdown value here. Villain called a 4bet and 2 barrels and we block two highest diamonds. I like barreling off but if we are going to check river just check turn imo.

I mean yea I never said he does just was wondering if that thought went through his head. and he obviously has SOME showdown; not much but there are worse draws despite the blockers. Anyways I shoot 3 here and consider it extremely basic/standard

for example the guy has 910 combos, if not 910o at least 910s. maybe he plays his draws dif (or the hands that make draws 910, j9, 69 preflop dif) post and really is literally always ahead on the river here.

I still think you must be ahead of at least something by the river maybe even chopping some small %

why do u bet 1/3pot in 4bet pots, how is that better? Wouldnt u have more fold equity just betting flop, shoving turn? and put his draws in a shitty position

He was an unknown at NL16, thought process was that I block AXdd KXdd (I'd technically beat them anyways, but it does change the EV of the shove and my FE) and get snapped by PPs and any TP on paired rivers all the time with 13.26 into 23.73 by randoms at 16. Didn't really expect showdown value here, 89s is discounted pre, 89dd raise flop cause it's just way too good not to so there's like 3 discounted combos of that and I block fds that I beat here. Maybe I chop with some AK that do play this way when it's deep vs my sizings and that's about it.

It's true that AK is the very best blocker hand here (AQo, AQs, KQs (KQo) being very likely 4bet calling hands in these positions)
I just thought on the river I want to have the AK combos that don't block flush draws
But it's a 4bet pot so draws should matter less
And I didn't work out my range but I probably wouldn't 2 barrel naked AK much in the first place (check back flop or cbet check call probably is better + cbet my AXs backdoors, bluff 4bet AXo?)
So yeah vs a reg and unknown I should shovel river all day long
