I don't think he checks turn with any non boat Jx so that eliminates much of the best part of a range your river bet is attempting to get value from, he flats pre and raises flop which is to me a range of FDs, J10, 55, mayyybeeeee 1010, maybe some other jacks (that we eliminate from his range on turn)- not a good range to bet versus on river as you are not ahead of nearly half of his calling range, Scary ass board on the river I don't expect many hero calls like one pair calls or even top pair calls (and I doubt he raises much Ax on flop cept maybe aj). So even though you have the broadway straight he actually has a ton of flushes/boats and not much worse to call with. He raises flop and checks the turn but it is not like he checks back the turn; he is oop so cannot cap him or discount him from having nut hands as much as we could otherwise. His flop raise/oop turn check is consistent with a flushdraw checking when the board pairs on a brick; and also with 3 of a kind/2pair turning into a boat, becoming invulnerable, and deciding to let you hang yourself a bit.

This may be a spot to actually ninja check back river.

And vs a certain opponent if you do bet here you should call.

As played fold. His hand actually looks like J10 to me

this straight is the bottom of your range here for betting on the river. because of this it should be fine to fold; at first glance to most people your bet looks like a flush. I say vs some people if you bet you may need to call because they may think you are capped vbetting a flush since you checked the turn (even though you can and should check turn with some boats- this protects you from being completely exploited when you are making thinner vbets such as flushes) even though this isn't really the case. They raise the flop with a bluff or something and decide to give up when called, then on river they see you make a bet they think you shouldn't so they change their mind and try to shit on you. Only a reggish player with some hand reading ability would I expect this from like if I personally was in villain's shoes with a hand like 5x/10x maybe bare Kc I make this same play.

i dont think he is ever checking turn with a full or a J, nothing can justify it imo
