it seems this villian is a fish - not fully stacked - correct? in that case i prefer to not 3bet him with trash but to bring in stronger hands such as AQ-AT for value. as played nice value!

WHen you overbet shove the river, what hands do you expect him to call with that you can beat? I mean 88 obviously but what other hands? Am I crazy to think this river is a check?

had some nice timing tells, and some stats!

I find it pretty bad to shove on the Q considering how much of his range hits it even if he likes to float a lot

I don't think he's floating OOP twice here with Qx so Q should be fine. He could easily have TT here as well. A9 is less likely because of reverse implied odds vs AK 3bet. He could even have 9Ts 89s.

Villain didn't cover the bet, it was a ~ 75% of pot shove.

it depends on how he 4bets pre/calls 3bets somewhat. If you can rely on him to play fairly standard; 4bet QQ+, fold Q9-A9 (or maybe 4b but not open/call A9o) to 3bet, raise or lead River with his 'nut' type hands (not that he has a ton but he does have some sets, then come River you are in fact beat by very little. You should be able to get light calls here as villain's range is so weak.

Can't really say your play would make a ton of money off me personally because I will flat the 3bet with some hands that allow me to easily c/c down and will fold worse on River vs the typical opponent at this stakes unless I have reason to believe he can bluff.

As far as your 3ball range on this board theory wise; I'm not sure you should be going this low for value. I suspect this hand is either right at or right below that cut off.

Anyone check back this turn as hero some % ? I see that as viable if not preferable vs some opponents.
