Did I induce a bluff? is this to thin for value

if he has a flush draw:

his expectation for the call on the flop is: 0.25(3.85) - 0.75(-1.25) = 0.025 so he was close to even

on the turn 0.25(8.1) - 0.75(3) = -0.225
so he was risking 20 cents here

I think your both bets were way too low

I agree that my bets are too low but what do you think his range is made up of here he opens UTG I call in position he declines to continuation bet. Doesn't that seem an odd way to play a flush draw?

Most possible is that he owes KhQh I cant imagine another hand that starts from UTG. It also depends on the player. He could have KhJh or even KhTh.

Its hard to believe he's bluffing on the river with something like pocket Ks or Qs (but the action flow fits)

these are just my thoughts

Yeah, I don't think hes bluffing on the river but prior to his check raise his hand looks a lot like JJ QQ KK or maybe Ax sometimes. What do you think of value betting river as played

Elles   Poland. Sep 27 2014 16:29. Posts 114

I dont know,

it depends on your read, I dont think this bet is wrong but, if you were certain he was fishing a heart, then you made a mistake.

Better ask questions, which hands do I beat and will call (not raise) my bet, and if they are possible to be here?
AK - lost
AQ - draw
88 - lost
slow played AA - lost
pocket K, Q, J, T, 9 - win
maybe AJ but not hh - win

xhxh - youll almost certain be raised;

I dont possibly see any other hands that could be here with UTG raise. Now calculate yourself if this was a good bet.

these are only assumptions, and I dont think there is time at the table to do that.

So Id pick my 1st thought and bet lower, but bet the river for like 30%

His range is :
KhQh
KhJh
KhTh
QhTh
JhTh
9hTh

He shouldnt have any AhXh, who plays the nuts like that...
He doesn't have anything else for value as played. Your bet sizings are bad, not sure if river is a bet, but probably as played i d bet/fold, besides you have more flushes than him and all flop sets. However as played with those sizings your hand is pretty face up. Even if he s capable to do c/shove that on bluff I doubt he ll do it often enough to exploit you however.

Elles's ranges are terribad imo, he never has any sets there, nor AK/AQ, 99-KK makes sense with his lane but I'd still eliminate 99-JJ and the QQ-KK would include a heart one which is 6 combos overall. Range you are targeting is basically low Axs most of which are now 2 pair, which he wont c/shove unless he s bad

Actually not quite sure if river bet is good, on second thought seems way too thin and you ll probably value bet yourself mostly.

I didn't post my ranges. It was a talk about a value bet he has to provide if he doesn't put him on the flush.

I only posted that he probably has Kh / Q-Th there possibly. In one of the former posts.
