80% VPIP 50%+ Raise doesnt fold to 3bets

The JJ hand could have been a fold on the turn after I've seen him do that a couple times :/

in last AK hand im pretty sure you're better off shoving flop yourself and not letting hands like this shove and realize their equity.

Ima just take the air of his range to see when shoving for protection/fold out his equity makes sense

Board: 8c4d8s
Equity Win Tie
MP2 77.35% 75.09% 2.26% { AdKh }
MP3 22.65% 20.39% 2.26% { A9s, A7s-A5s, A3s-A2s, KJs-K9s, K7s-K5s, K3s-K2s, Q9s+, Q7s-Q5s, Q3s-Q2s, J9s+, J7s-J5s, J3s, T9s, T7s-T5s, 97s-95s, 75s+, 65s, AJo-A9o, A7o-A5o, A3o-A2o, K9o+, K7o-K5o, Q9o+, Q7o-Q6o, J9o+, J7o, T9o, T7o }

He needs 23.5% v my hand to make not folding those good.
So he makes a bigger mistake when he shoves than when he folds those hands if I'd shove myself innit.
I shove he folds em 100% EV=$11.2
I check he shoves x=.7735*16.26 - 0.2265*5.06=$11.431
with that part of his range
not sure if I put 16.26 into that equation or 21.32.

- basically if equity of his air range >= pot odds for him I should shove if it's smaller I should check and let him shove right?
Didn't realize it but his hand is like the nuts and his ship very +ev :D

yeah he probably folds K2 stuff but he also probably calls shove with dominated Ax fairly often.

I assume Ax get it in either way rly
- should take them out from the above

yeah agreed, i just wasn't sure if you included him calling with dominated Ax in your equation.

Yeah so if I take out all Ax and KJ (I assume he calls them too)

Equity Win Tie
MP2 23.79% 23.28% 0.51% { K9s, K7s-K5s, K3s-K2s, Q9s+, Q7s-Q5s, Q3s-Q2s, J9s+, J7s-J5s, J3s, T9s, T7s-T5s, 97s-95s, 75s+, 65s, KTo-K9o, K7o-K5o, Q9o+, Q7o-Q6o, J9o+, J7o, T9o, T7o }
MP3 76.21% 75.70% 0.51% { AdKh }

It goes above the threshold - and making him fold these is better

If he will both always shove and always call I just take them out actually when just trying to see if shoving and making him fold the air he'd shove himself is better.
And it most likely will be here.

Is this correct btw? Assuming he always folds the air range and always shoves when checked to

If equity of his air >his pot odds my EV will be lower than when I shove and make him fold and
If equity of his air<his pot odds my EV will be higher than when I shove and make him fold

I didn't get to the same number in the equations but I assume this is the case and it does work both ways. My brain doesnt work as its late and played way too long today to check the math xD
