In the last two months ive had 2 pretty expensive 24in samsung monitors shit out and break for really gay reasons on me.. im thinking bad capacitors..

with how much money everyone spends on monitors on this form i figured id pitch in my small sample size of results..

ive had 2 samsung monitors, they both died within two years, mezmerizeplz had two 24's and a 30' and i think only one 24 is still working..

but i got a dell before all of these and its still perfect, and i have an acer thats amazing..

so props to acer and dell monitors, imo stay away from new samsung.. they used to be amazing, i think their shit now.

i have 3 24" samsungs and a 22"...all have worked fine for multiple yrs...think u just hit the lottery of buying bad monitors.

Samsung has a code system they use to who made the monitors. I found this exerpt and I will be checking my TV when I get home.

"There are "S", "A", and "C" models. "S" is the highest quality and the panel is made by Samsung themselves, this is the panel that they sent out to reviewers. "A" is made by AU and is of slightly lower quality, but it can be calibrated to almost match the "S" panel. The "C" model is the worst of the batch and is made by the Chei Mei corporation. This panel has quite pronounced backlight bleeding issues as well as a very bad color profile by default.

my samsung 30inch died too. But they have 3-yr factory warranty on them from the date of purchase so it's fixed now and no problems since.

my 24 HD 1080 has been workin solid for over a year.

i got 2, 20 inch monitors from stars which were both samsung.

1 broke and the screen white washed out. and the other is still going strong.

been about 6+ years now with that monitor...

i recently got 2, 23in wide screen 1080p LED monitors. The picture quality is absolutely gorgeous. I'd highly recommend these monitors to anyone. It owns the shit out of my 1080p 24 in LCD i got about a year ago. And i thought that produced pretty sick picture quality.

I repaired my 20" samsung a couple years ago by replacing the capacitors after they popped and burnt out due to improper size. I ordered the repair kit from these people. Easy to do. Monitor been working great ever since. They prob have repair kits for other monitor sizes.

my samsung 30" died as well, I shipped it back and they payed me back in full for it. I now have a 30" dell. Yeah, samsung pissed me off a little.
