winners were very very hard to pick!!
For the competition about doing something nice to someone.
drum roll ................
Datruf wins with this crazy nice deed he did. P.S Datruf I don't doubt you 100% but please explain why you dont know for sure what he was dying from but was willing to splurge out so much money!!
"About a week and a half ago, my mom told me that she had a friend whose son was dying (leukemia I think, but no sure). Long story short, he's 14 and made a bucket list with about 20 things on there that he wanted to do. One of the things on the list was to go to a Univ. of Alabama football game. I thought I could help out with this one because I went to school at Alabama and Alabama plays Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl on New Years Day, so I bought him 4 tickets to the bowl game and booked a hotel room for 3 days in Orlando, Florida (which is where the game will be). It was one of the smaller, less expensive things on his list, but one of the few that I was capable of helping out with."
Many many people were very close behind but this one stood out for me.
Now the second competition is very triky and I just can't decide, I think its probably because I have what most would call a very "poor" taste in music. I was actually looking for very generic poppy stuff like, What ever you like by TI or I wanna be a billionnaire. Stuff thats related to being a balla, being rich and happy about it. Now even though I didn't get what I asked for I did find some stuff I really like and it will help me through this December, it was the collection by SugoGosu. The playlist is in his blog if you guys wanna check it out, it is very very soothing stuff.
Congrats to you both~~ Please let me know if you want the coaching pre 2011 (you will be sweating me playing 2/4-25/50) at about 9 tables where I will explain to you to the best of my knowledge why I make each play, otherwise if you would rather I sweat you you will have to wait for me to finish SNE and get back to AUS, which will be after Jan the 5th.
Best of luck to everyone this December.

Now if Datruf doesn't come up with a good explanation then Sweetbread wins with this deed
"Gave a homeless, elderly woman who was shivering her ass off and crying (55+) my North Face jacket + all the cash on me (about $60 USD) on a day where it was minus 5 here in Prague. Some of the Czech people are so mean to their family, it makes me sad."

both these deeds are really nice, i dunno which one i like better
ofc we cant give all the money we have to people in need, but it certainly doesn't hurt to help people once in a while and it annoys me how some people are uncapable of doing something good for others |

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol | |

The lady whose son it is, is really good friends with my mom. I didn't know the kid very well personally because I'm so much older than him. The only reason I knew him is because he was on my little brother's soccer team a couple years ago and my mom and I had Thanksgiving with his family this year. My mom told me he was suffering from one thing, and the kid's mother told me something else. One told me cancer and one told me leukemia (I guess leukemia is a type of cancer? I'm not positive though), and I wasn't sure who told me what. I called my mom about an hour ago, and she said it's leukemia. He's been undergoing treatment for about a year and a half, and it just isn't getting better. Honestly, I don't know if I would have done this if he had been a total stranger, but the fact that our mothers are close friends, coupled with the fact that he's only a year older than my brother really hit home for me. I just thought about my brother and what if it were him instead, and I'd definitely want to help him out. |
