To lower poker stress, treat poker as your escape from life rather than life as an escape from poker. Don't view life as your break from poker, but poker as your break from life. In my case, I find that I don't have that much poker stress anymore now that I'm buried in school atm and I play less sessions but each one is more enjoyable and fun. Last year, I had a lighter course load so I played lots of poker and it stressed me out which then caused me to not prepare well for exams and fucked up my grades.

As far as what you can change to your actual game, lower your variance by table selecting very well and playing extremely straightforward/avoid marginal spots with the regs and focus on exploiting the fish to the max. Don't force yourself into marginal spots unless you're over-rolled for the stakes you play.

Eckhart Tolle is just another spiritual leader, claiming he and his spirituality can do much more than they actually can. I'm sure he is a good guy, and has helped people before; however, don't buy into the life changing effects many people, him included, claim.

Meditation has been medically proven to aid in lowering stress and be great for mental health. However, it has nothing to do with spiritual effects. If you would like to believe in stuff like this, go ahead, but realize that most of it is the same thing in a different wrapper.

I think your biggest mistake was trying to play a NL200 game when you play at .05/.10 online lol. For real people make it sound like live games are super soft because some of them are but honestly it's a different game, not an easier version of the one you currently play. What happened in that game? How did you lose?
