So I intentedly avoid playing on Stars and FTP but for some time now I've been getting increasingly curious about the rush poker on FTP.So I decided to deposit some money and try it out.I've played some 5NL and some 10NL and noticed 2 things - the swings are too huge for such a low limits, and strong pocket hands get cracked much more often. So I was wondering do you make some significant changes when you play 6max standart NL, and when you play 6max on rush. And what do you think are the most important differrncies b/w these 2 types of games. In my short experience I get to the conclusion that at least at the low limits raising and cbeting should be cut drasticly, and the relative strenght of the hands should be reconsider since, a TPTK at lest to me seems to lose too often in rush poker, much more than in standart NL.So...b/s this got too long I would appreciate any thoughts about this particular aspect of the game since i find it pretty interesting after all and want to try and improe my preformance at low stake rush poker. Thanks

The beauty of rush is taking advantage of your unknown status. IMO you shouldnt be nitting it up because a) thats what everyone else is doing, and b) leveraging your FE because people have no choice but to give you credit. When you double barrel a 7844 board what can they do?

Yeah, after all you end up seeing some players more than once during a session and I've noticed a guy who did exaclty what you say, but the disadvantage of that is in the very essence of the rush poker, I'm agree that agression can win you a lot of pots but most of the ppl, and yet again I'm talking about low stakes, are more willing to just click fold and move to the next hand than to try and outplay you or paying you just to be honest, so being too agresive with marginal hands as I see things, can easily lead you to winning a lot of small pots and losing the big once, which at the end may turn out to be a lose strategy, since in my short experience i got the impression that ppl are wating for stronger hand like at least 2 pairs, very often sets or FD, and don't pay as much as a normal NL player when hit only 1 pair even if it's TPTK.Dunno, maybe I'm just jumpping into conclusions but...let see what others have to say.

Well if youre playing marginal hands then it shouldnt be too hard to let them go. How do you get stacked playing 97o? It's not like you're going to be flopping 2 pair vs sets constantly. Most of these hands are just good for bluff catchers when players float and you pick up a random pair on the turn. In between your mediocre holdings you will flop some sets and overpairs too. So basically you're winning lots of small pots and some big pots, but shouldnt really be losing that many big pots unless you're coolered or miss a huge draw. Any playable hand should come in for a raise from any position imo.

bye now

vaiance, rush you can open wider play ur hands face up, at least to 25nl, and still get paid off, 6max more player dependant moves can be made and you learn more bout reading hands etc

aint no to tuition for having no ambition
