I played around with it for like 20 minutes, thought it was kinda cool.

"Available exclusively at Full Tilt Poker, Rush Poker* is the ultimate high-speed poker experience.

This new poker format is designed to minimize your wait time between hands and keep you in the action. You’ll join a large player pool and face a different table of opponents every hand you play. When you fold your hand, you’ll be rushed to another table for a new hand right away.

To play even faster, use the Quick Fold"

  Thoughts?

I think you're a bit late to the party, everyone posted their thoughts in the thread that happened the day it came out.

I have much more reads in rush than I do when I played regular FR.

I think rush can be a good tool for beginners, to teach you how to only play optimal situations. One of the biggest problems players have is patience, waiting for truly +EV situations. People get bored and want to play hands they shouldnt, or lose focus when they have an optimal situation. Since you can just click your way through all the bad hands in rush, it's easy for you to setup one +EV situation after another. The game is virtually variance free especially considering how you can limp into pots without running into too much trouble. You can put money into the pot directly proportional to your hands value. Pocket 3's in the CO? Just limp in. AA UTG? Raise 5xBB. With every hand you play, just ask yourself one question; "how much money do I want to spend on this hand?"

There are a few quirky exploitative tactics you can use, such as raising every BTN in an unopened pot, 3betting every button raise from the blinds, and 4betting over any resteals when you are again on the BTN. These are best saved for players who have over 100BB stacks, as you are just trying to think one level ahead of them. And even then it's totally unnecessary. Vs fish I would restrict myself to a single attempt on their blinds and nothing else.

Ultimately I still standard ring game to be more profitable, since your goal in poker is to put people on a hand and then get as much money out of them as possible. Would you leave a table you just sat down at after stacking some fish who went allin with bottom pair? Of course not, he's your honey pot, you stay all night as long as he's willing to reload. And do you really want to lose your whole stack with every overpair to a nit you didnt know only setmines? You have no way to know if firing JJ on a 6782 board is for value or if you are already drawing dead.

bye now
