it's 7am on tuesday. i've just woken up. my sleeping pattern is, understandably, a disaster. i think that i slept for 14 hours.

i was just smoking a cigarette in the bathroom. for no identifiable reason i started thinking about a hand that was recently posted in the midstakes forum.

the hand went as follows:

hero opens i think k8o otb.
villain defends

K8x

kbc

low pairing brick?

kk

total brick

brR

hero was disturbed and probably folded, and the act of folding ruined his day

he went on to post the hand in the forum.

at the time i had no particular thoughts on the hand. i do now. the hand is irrelevant.

there is no particular action that we can take on the river that is better than the other. no action alters our avatar in the eyes of the opponent. the inverse applies, unless we call and our opponent shows 6 high.

therefore we call immediately and move on to the next hand and usually with no alteration in game dynamic.

it's 7:11. i started to have a panic attack at approx 6:58. it has passed.
