I've been in Vientiane, Laos for a couple of days. I'm here to get my 1year Thai Visa, but I'm stuck waiting here for the university to send me the visa papers. It isn't a problem to be here except that I've kind of slipped out of vacation / travel mode and I'm really in a mindset to get working on my finances. Still going to get some exploring of the city done this weekend since I'm here though!
Played 4k hands of poker this month, ~4-6 tabling over the past 3 days. I've finally been winning again and running really hot. But its good, because this is the *perfect* time for a heater seeing as how my roll was down to 2.2k and is now at 3.7k. I think I've been playing well too and I've been getting some poker-studying in. With disciplined play and any luck I hope things don't get real rough again too soon haha.
Well I guess here is my first graph close to qualifying as a brag in a long time, woo

Yay! On the up then. Was Thailand good? Did you see a ping pong show? I saw a hooker firing razor blades from her fanny at balloons and popping them. She was quite a good shot. |

I'm staying in thailand for atleast 2more months (Well that's the plan, so long as my visa goes thru). We fucked up so far 'n the only time we ended up in a pingpong show it was in a really, really lame bar and the performers were old. So I gotta try again if I make it down to southern thailand again.

does vientiane actually have decent internet? i tried a couple places there and it was like death. nice heater tho!
imo you should take a couple days to check out Luang Prabang if you haven't already before leaving Laos.

Eric, I'm pretty sure I have your MSN. I'm just almost never on, and haven't been on for about a month iirc. I will be getting on there again this coming week when I am settled into my apartment though :D What is Luang Prabang? I'm kind of feeling like its time to chill out and stop spending money after this weekend but there isn't really anything forcing me to do that.. maybe I will explore laos a bit next week..
Chobo, no I will probably start checking that thread now though, since I'm going to be here longish-term. |
