This is todays graph, I masstabled nl5 for a bankroll boost, unfortunately it didn't boost my bankroll at all. Tomorrow I will do this again and the day after and the day after that. My official date for quitting poker is the end of October, if I'm not a solid 50nl winner by then i will quit, although I have no idea what I will do with my life. I'm nearly 20 years old and have no skills at all, no way of earning money and have no real life friends, most of the time I just ignore it but sometimes it depresses me.

The only skill I have is photography, which is a joke skill as its really easy. Making money from photography, as far as i know is really hard and would need a big investment beforehand - of which I do not have. Why am I telling LP this? I have no fucking idea. Anyway there should be more blog updates coming from me lately as I will be grinding much harder than the past, hopefully atleast 8 hours a day untill the end of October.

So are you a student? Do you have a job? Dude go out and meet some people, your life still has to begin at the age of 20...
And pokerwise, dont give up, if you think you suck read some books, post a lot of hands and ask for advice, read forums etc..

if i recall well, you have already tried this before at least 2 times... wish you the best of luck... but...

why don't you consider GOING TO SCHOOL, LEARN A FUCKING PROFESSION AND MEET PEOPLE.
What you are trying to do is very -EV for your life, even if you can make it to nl200+ which is fucking ridiculously difficult nowadays you'll end up sitting inside all day NOT DOING STUFF YOU NEED TO DO WHEN YOU'RE 20, the best years of your life ffs

someone needs to tell you it might as well be me

and photograpy is not easy imo, kudos to you for mastering it

thinking of getting a coach. how much will they charge just to keep repeating the words, wtf why do u think he is bluffing. since i swear this will up my winrate 5xLast edit: 17/08/2009 11:46

I will definitely consider this after I'm done with poker.

poker will only give you suffering if you depend on it. Quit it right now, get a job or go to school and start socialize. The world will become a much better place you will see. And if have time and dont have to worry, may start grinding again with proper financial background.

You definitely need to do something outside of poker / outside of your room in general during this time man. I really doubt you're even going to win at nl5 atm cuz you're probably playing horribly by not adjusting to the stake properly or whatever.

When I've needed money and a little change of pace, I've browsed craigslist for a couple of minutes each day looking for an odd job or a 1 or 2 day gig with a company. It puts some money in your pocket, gets you out of your room, and you're doing something a bit different than usual. You might find a new interest or somethin.. This is easier if you have a car(no idea if you do) but in any case, its an idea.

Grinding 8hrs a day at nl5 will probably be awful and pretty undoable--aka you'll probably just lose. You need to take it a bit easier. I think you need to move your priorities away from poker and you need to become completely and utterly independent from your bankroll.. its miniscule and can't handle any withdraws.

Get access to a training site and review the low/microstakes videos because there must be something wrong with what you're doing as well. (cough ask a friend to share theirs for a little while maybe?)

Anyway, I'm not trying to be harsh, and I can empathize a bit with your situation (especially since I'm in a really bad spot atm as well, where I have to grind very hard for a couple of weeks to survive/not fail, and have very few friends in this city).

Also my icon is a fuckin angry bull and its really badass.

mass tabling with many hours its not the solution. How do you pretend to go up the stakes if you only play robot poker, not learning anything... You'll have much more profit if you just cut tables and play focused for and hour or two. Dont try to become rich plyaing NL 5

Thanks for this bro. I am pretty set on giving it untill the end of October, giving it a decent amount of time along with some effort to see if I can improve at this game. I have a decent amount of videos from DC that I haven't watched that I will give some of my attention. As for life im currently looking for some assistant photography work (unpaid) but its better than doing nothing, although there doesnt seem to be much around and this could be doubtful.

Keep grinding yourself man.
