so i really havent been playing poker much til about a week or two ago. i was skyping with mayzerg n mikeymoo and they effectively convinced me to begin grinding again. so i started playing again and i feel im playing pretty well i guess. i really believe its all due to not using a hud. when i used to use a hud, i would get distracted by all the shit all over the screen and convince myself to do things that i know werent right.
so im pretty excited for august and im hoping for a good month and to move to NL100 relatively soon.
also i find that talking to other poker players on skype is fun and keeps my attention focused on poker and not doing other shit. if anyone wants to ghost me or skype with me or vice versa while i play PM me.
still need to get my money off cake somehow, so if anyone can help with that itd b swell and greatly appreciated!

If you are playing w/out a hud stay the hell off stars and FTP and keep your money on hudless software (CAKE) so you aren't at a disadvantage. |

People who use a HUD are NOT poker players, simple as, they go by what stats tell them and not their reads.
I GUARENTEE you, most of the people on LP (obviously micro/low/medium the pros dont count) that use a HUD, if they didnt use it, most of them would be losers in longterm. |

yeah it can be construed either way, but hes saying that with the use of a hud it basically dilutes ur ability to learn and grow as a poker player and really slows down the learning curve.
for me it has nothing to do with any of this, its more that it just bothers me and that i get distracted by all the numbers n shit and i just lose focus and i convince myself to make plays i know arent the right plays and it leads me to spew.
the first thing i thought of when i read mayzergs post is someone should do a propbet of it. lol |
