On March 20, 2003, we the United States invaded Iraq, eventually leading to the overthrow of Saddam Hussein.
I wonder how Exhilarate's 15th b-day went. I can't believe it has already been six years ago to the day! Man time can go by really fast sometimes
IMO the vid below should be called "How to identify a conservative today"
(the first 1:30 in this 3part vid is easily skippable)
A few of the smaller points I like in this video and if you look Ron Paul IS ACTUALLY always and constantly fighting for:
The main purpose of a government, in a free society, should be the preservation of liberty
Liberty is an individual thing and not a collective right
Freedom does not come to us because we belong to a group

As for the H.R. 1207 bill in the House that he talks about to audit the Federal Reserve, it was created a month ago by him and has so far grown to currently 29 legislators backing it, which honestly isn't many but it is progress.
I can't agree more with Ron Paul that the Federal Reserve at the very very very very least needs to be transparent and public. So if this proposal can actually gain more momentum and backing it would be a HUGE achievement for the middle class and below.

Something that I definitely should of added to that post that I think is really vitally important and key but may go over some peoples heads because he talks so fast and in a rush when he gets worked up is in the third part, he talks about removing federal power in social social issues and placing it to the states. This is insanely HUGE and again I think since most people do not understand how the system is supposed to be set up, they do not fully comprehend what he is saying.
Let's take abortion for instance. A very hard issue. It could be debated for eternity as people on both sides are very passionate and most likely will never come to terms. The one sided way it is today should not be how it is.
What I mean is it is currently a FEDERAL issue, meaning one overall decision. Ron Paul would make social issues such as this a STATE and LOCAL government issue, taking it OUT of the federal channels and courts completely. This would mean HUGE powers bestowed back to the individual not to mention freeing up the federal system. And because state and local law in comparison to federal law can be very easily changed to fit the want of the people within that state/jurisdiction, people would then actually have a choice.

you will not see democrats nor most current republicans of today give two shits about such a thing because they fear it would lower their sense of need and power

I totally agree!
I'm not pro life either, and I think alot of independent thinkers would be put off by the fact that he is
but see that's why my second post is so very critical to understand, because if he was in charge, he would not change the federal law to his view of pro life
he would abolish this even being handle as a federal thing and make it a state issue; which means for example 32 states could then overall decide abortion is a right and a legal choice while the other 18 states are pro life and there it is illegal
do u see how doing it this way this issue could then be changed depending on the people within their state or jurisdiction? (which jurisdiction would be the way to go imo if I was a governor deciding)
so vital!!
anyone that isn't blind or biased should see this is how it should be with such social issues and so Ron Paul again scores a 150% on a 100% test - it is not the federal government that should being the deciding factor on such things!
