Playing nl25 seems to of completely ruined me at nl10, what in the world?

I've been running pretty bad, but it doesn't explain all of it. Really weird IMO. Going to cut back down on tables and see wtf is going on O_O

This is standard if you're playing on nl10 ftp

Nah I'm at stars now

whats really bothering me is that this graph is completely different from how I was doing before (break even nonshowdown winnings). I don't care that the cards aren't coming out nicely for me, I shouldn't be spewing so hard in nonshowdown.

You might not be tailoring your strategy to your opponents i.e. semibluffing people who won't fold etc.

yeah I'm pretty sure that's what's up.. I don't exactly have time to do many read based plays when I'm mass tabling.

The players at 10NL is unique. Don't you notice the HUGE amount of short stackers in 10NL on Pokerstars? It's kind of ridiculous. A normal full ring table would be like: $2,$2,$2,$3,$5,$7,>$10,>$10,>$10.

It's as though the credit crisis hit all the 10NL players, and they can't afford to buy in with a full stack let alone half a full stack.

hahaha ya, it is a pain in the ass. A lot fewer short stackers in 6max but fuck nl10 6max. Shit doesn't even make sense

I think your non-showdown very, very standard for lowstakes. People are passive stations and you very rarely win large pots without a showdown. I've been doing >5ptbb/100 where i'm losing 1BI /1k hands in redline, just never bluff idiots/stations, and since the majority at lowstakes is both, rarely bluff.

You are either folding winning hands or you are running bad.

I am a NL25 player so take my advice/comments in that perspective

yeah so based on what trues saying, which is TRUE lolz, dont worry about the impending red line of doom in fr, just play your value hands for value and dont bluff hardly ever at all.

a few tips about where not to be nitty (not sure if you're that way or opposite, but i am nitty) that work at nl50 that maybe somebody can clarify about nl10, coz i forgot:

when ppl randomly shove or reshove you for a lot more than a normal sized bets particularly when you know they're not regulars, this is usually a strong sign that they are on a draw or most certainly don't have you beat, having you dominated is the minority (even like when a fd or straight draw hits i often find they will shove having hit an open ender or 4 flush with the draw still requiring another card)

when ppl play back on the flop like instaminraise or w/e (and they're not regulars) it tends most often to be something along the lines of top pair good kicker or simply complete air or randomness, if you have tptk or an overpair you should be inclined to get it in here

(when ppl play weak on flop and then strong on turn, thats when you get wide eyed and say ok, he has the nuts coz hes a faggot and doesnt know how to play poker)

when random donks put in a mini 3bet preflop you should be inclined to flip them with AK QQ-AA or even AQ read dependent as very often they will show up with random hands like 2 broadway, AQ or worse and then obviously some middle to high pairs

(obviously when regs min3 bet u its very read dependent and u shouldnt be that eager to get it in with qq or ak if u havent seen them out of line)

(when random donks put in like a min 4bet-5bet im usually more inclined to fold anything except the nuts because this seems to be kk-aa far too often in my experience)

ummmmmmmmmmm yea!

I think a lot of that is for some reason people call a 3/4 bet flop and 3/4 turn and then fold river with like $4-5 behind a lot...

There's mass short stackers at all limits, not just 10nl. It gets pretty annoying, do they make 50bb 10nl tables?

I dont remember anything from last night. all i know is, is that i woke up naked on my couch, with a piece of uncooked chicken on the stove. -Josh McLeod

play LHE

terrybunny19240   United States. Dec 06 2008 01:19. Posts 13829

This run mediocre or whatever is really trying my patience. I lowered my tables and my red line is still dropping at a way too fast rate, like 10BB/100.

I am putting importance on this because look how I was doing last month at nl10

versus my above graph(which is still going down in red line hugely, and I'm b/e)

and LHE is sick boring lol

More thoughts..

Why am I so terrible at poker but I got a 119 on that damn donkey test just now! Damn life!!!!

Maybe I just shouldn't multi table, apparently I'm slower than a fuckin slug at making decisions!

Thanks, donkey test!

(no I'm not really taking these results seriously, though they are kind of interesting)
