I know some ppl here have enjoyed my HHs so figured i'd cross post here in case you wanted to see this one. Old HH but i started posting more in the sng forum on 2p2 again and thought i'd upload it there for them.

thx

However i still am not able to see much skill involved for teh most part in all of those toruney HHs from various people ( By no means this should be offensive towards u )

Alls these MTT or SNG winners have 1 thing in common
1.) run incredible good at flips -> like win 80% + of their 44-99 vs QJs KQs AKs AQs hands ( and ofc other way round High suited connectors vs low pairs they hit)
2.) get extremly lucky and win a situation where they normally should be out ( in your situation u won A7 vs AK preflop all-in for all of your chips)

donkaments

gratulations though on the win

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)

Game select and play lots. Just being better than other players is all you need and over large samples you'll win.

The skill is the actual playing poker, maybe you are good at poker (i have no idea who you are no offense intended) so for example the hand where i flat QQ and KJ doubled me up, if he was more skilled he wouldn't get allin there. If i wasn't good at poker, i would miss resteals vs sdouble and just fold till i had chips left and blind out.

Also, you could look at it as being unlucky that he had AK since shoving a7 is +ev and being good means you don't pass on these edges. The skill comes by getting yourself in situations to win, by playing well and not passing edges.

If its folded to me in the sb with 10bb and i shove any2, its because im good enough to realise its +ev. What happens after that is out of my control.

Very interesting. I really like the way the QQ hand is played out. And nice comeback from 200 chips

One question about #134. Standard raise offcourse but what about his call? I hardly played any tournaments but his call seems extremely bad even though he is in for 1/6 of his stack due to bb.

And just one more, #137. Would that have been allin vs a player like sdouble?

Look at his hand and equities, what do you expect him to have here, uno cards? - TianYuanLast edit: 03/12/2008 13:10

My range there is any2, vs that range he is 51.4%, and there is 1150 in the pot already. So he is calling 3231 to win ~4.2k with a slight edge anyway. So yeah its a good call from him
