Hello. Much like most of you on here I come from the world of Starcraft and Warcraft 3. I used to play poker about 2 years ago, mostly limit, but I took a break right before the whole first US "ban" on online gambling and never really bothered to get back into it, until about a month ago. I've been putting around in a mix of Fixed Limit and No Limit but as of the past week or so I've committed to playing NL only.

Over the past 2 years I've been working at my cushy job making over 60k a year so I never really felt the need to play poker. But lately it seems like a good way to get some side money and to be quite honest I enjoy playing. Right now I'm a losing player, which sucks, but I'll continue to study and learn more. I'm playing 10NL currently and while I have the "IRL" bankroll to probably deposit enough to play NL100 I feel if I can't beat NL10, why the hell play something with better players?

Anyway, I feel like a complete gay for making a blog, but all of my friends make 60k+ a year and don't want to hear about my woes of losing $30 in NL10 when the night before I spent over a grand on bottle service at a club. So hopefully you guys will lend me an ear to bitch and moan in.

Good luck grinding it out, and you're right to start from 10nl if u don't feel u can't beat higher limits atm.

if u only make 60K a year u shouldn't spend a grand on a bottle service unless u absolutely have no friends or something

Not a brag post at all. Just trying to emphasize that I don't really have anyone to discuss poker with IRL, as they don't give a damn. So here I am.

As for the bottle service, we like to splurge every now and then. I'm only 21 and have very little financial obligation (rent, car, insurance, cell phone).
