December goal |
 |
1 | |
Well, the end of oct/beginning days of november were reallllly horrible. I pretty much dug a ditch I couldn't get out of in one month of nl25. So, since I'll never do that again, I figure I will start my monthly tally from when I moved to nl10 and began grinding back up.
I definitely feel comfortable at nl25. Finally. So that's cool. I've eaten some HUDGE beats which have caused me to break even during the 10k hands of nl25 I've played at FTP so far.. but that's alright.
This month at stars, NL25 started at ~30k or smth. Check out the little heater I had at the end:

FTP, all NL25: (FTP is rigged)

and a bit over $150 in rakeback.
Its time to set my goals for December.. I am done with this semester on the tenth. I really want to play a crapton of hands this coming month..
I averaged 581 hands/hour at FTP this month. I am going to be busy with finals/final paper until the 10th. So twenty(leaving out x-mas), 8 hour days is 93k hands...
Therefore my goal for dec. is 100k+ hands. I hope to surpass this but 100k hands and winnings + rakeback = $1k+.. Would make me happy/not make me feel like a failure. (except for how being such a marginal winner would be embarrassing as hell)
If I am successful and on the way my roll hits $1250 I doubt I'd have the discipline/enough reason to not take a shot at nl50, though. Maybe I'll mix in tables.
Wish my baddy self luck d00dz!

Hand 1: Yeah I'm not sure if I'm raising here when someone OOP leads into the PFR in a multiway pot on a board like this. These are the spots where you have to proceed with extreme caution with overpairs imo. I think if I am going to play the hand I would just flat and see what the guys behind me do and re-evaluating the turn.
Hand 2: I don't really mind this line at all. Just unlucky that you couldn't hit. Realize that it's a semibluff to raise, though, imo. It's obv also better to have a spade here as another backup.
Hand 3: I'm not sure if I would raise the turn after he leads into you after the raise. If you still think he might be drawing at this point I think it is better to flat the turn and try to induce a bluff on the safe river, because just flatting the turn after raising the flop on this kind of board might make him think he has some good FE on a blank river.
Hand 4: Fine by me as long as you think he will bluff with every one of his missed draws on the river. If not then a bet might be the best way to get value from TP, depending on how fishy a player he is. You could also check turn to get a VB in on the river.
Hand 5: I wouldn't raise here in a multiway pot unless I KNOW he loves to cbet with a TON of air here, and the guy who called is going to fold almost every time. You have almost no outs if you are wrong and are going to have to call a shove. Since you missed your set multiway you should just find a better spot to stack off because you are really in bad shape against his range here.
Hand 6: standard line for FR, he just sucks at getting any kind of value with his sets. |
