This is probably the easily most acceptable repetitive cycling of the same topic, but then you do the same search for 'Mouse' and 'headphones' all of which come up with a bunch of threads where the same question is always asked by the OP who is somehow too retarded/lazy to do some review reading themselves.

In addition is the fact this is a POKER forum where granted you may get good replies from people who have the same needs as you and have probably also played a fair amount of games but not only are there dozens of sites that review these products but there is a SEARCH FUNCTION! --> yes really.


Anyway, these are all minor annoyances and nothing when compared to thread gems like these recent ones for example:

^ This one is a personal favorite and while we may laugh and mock the OP (original poster) this is sad considering these threads come and go every xx months

^I'm not trying to hate on the OP since as a beginning player or a new player to the online games this may actually be more of a legitimate question than most but it doesn't stop me from reading and cringing before using it in a dumb blog post.


Poker player labels: rank plz

This recent post is quite possibly at least actually original, I'm not sure if I've read a post that is even similar in content... And the content is fantastic!

I mean ranking player labels which include "Poker LEGEND", 'Rounder', 'ATM machine' and 'Cash Cow' that's the kind of information you're going to need to move up the stakes.

There's just no possible way that you could play any poker without this CRUCIAL understanding of 'poker player labeling'....

My personal favorite, every few months a new member of LP and often a relatively beginning poker player will post a thread where they laugh or cry about a beat before having every poster (this includes trolls, decent posters and people who are no better than them) rip them to pieces.

While this is no doubt amusing for all involved except possibly the OP of such threads, I'm not sure it's terrific for encouraging new players regardless of assumed mental capacity to learn the game here at this site.


I seem to remember a post from a couple of years ago that set out 'Forum Rules' and it should probably be updated (with links to resources, examples) but I seriously think that new members to the site would benefit from being given some idea of what to expect.

At no point did I say that the forum is '100% serious business only' in fact I don't even want 'stupid threads/not srs pokar threads get removed to general or what not'.

I was making some observations about the recent threads being created and I guess yours was a pretty good example of threads that fail.

No I don't mean that your thread wasn't serious enough, it's just that it wasn't funny or even useful to me. (read on below before you try to take what i say out of context)

Since the only other thing I can think of that would be a good reason to post a thread like you did is to let people troll and bag you for your terrible posting (which btw is my admission of what this blog post is) I proceeded to do so.. however your indignation suggests I was incorrect in my judgment.

So how about you let me know what it was you were trying to achieve whether it be for humor, interest or even just need to spew bullshit and lets keep this away from becoming a personal argument on the internet.

Nah I am not taking it to heart, and I thought the thread was too obviously meant to be a place for a couple of posts of goofy bullshit and nothing more. I did get more direct crap for it than I expected. 99% of the time I wouldn't give a shit but the past day or two I've been on monkey tilt in all aspects of life and thus it annoyed me more than usual.
