i say no one really makes "mistakes" b/c everyone has the own diff type of game.

I think there's more merit to this than most online poker forum posters want to admit. But since some styles predictably lose money, it implies that a losing style is not necessarily a mistake. That may make the reader gasp, but I did not profit from going to see Kevin Nealon tonight, in fact I "lost" money. Was it a mistake? If a losing player's results are not inconsistent with his goals, then he might not be making mistakes. Not to say that losing money is his goal, but that he have some other goal, such as entertaining himself (the reason most people gamble and play poker), or improving his game against tough opposition, or testing the effects of unconventional strategies, and losing money is simply a common side effect of some goal that matters more to him.

Obv, i lost the hand so i didn't do something right.

/facepalm (edit: playing results)

1) i reraised pf, and got called by 27s

Not necessarily a mistake in isolation. He can be randomizing his play. He also might be an excellent player and have you pegged as extremely predictable, in which case he may be correct to call with nearly his entire range, or his entire range a surprisingly high percentage of the time. He also may be looking to induce tilt in an unimaginative but emotional player who cannot control his reaction to losing to a ridiculous hand at showdown. If he always calls reraises OOP with s00ted garbage, yes, that's a mistake, but this is one hand, not necessarily a trend.

2) i hit air, he hits a flush draw... check check, i see no prob w/ that. no point in betting OOP w/ air

/FACEPALM ...you were IN position, and besides, if you're reraising with this hand and checking the two out of three flops you airball, you're not playing well. You're bloating the pot and then giving up most of the time. This is terrible poker. A reraise increases your chance of winning the pot with a bet on the flop even if you miss, that's one of the reasons to reraise.

3) He bets out something small on air again,

price-setting

i call

oops, you're getting outplayed, find a softer game

and hit a tptk on riv, usually in these situations i have found that tptk is good,

In which case you are making a mistake by not raising for value!

this time it wasn't, no big deal.
4)I see this 6-7 raise on the river as a bluff, it's a good spot for him to do it, so i call him.
i lose, berate him for calling reraise w/ 27, he tells me i need to study, rofl @ i need to study, instead of a comeback like "you suck more i took ur monies"

River call is fine. Your focus is on the least interesting parts of the hand. The biggest playing mistake is checking the flop. Not raising the turn is a much more subtle *possible* mistake. I don't think calling the river is a mistake at all, since your hand is so under-represented. I would at least consider raising the river for value.

You got yourself into a mess and then did what most mediocre or weak players do, focus on the wrong part of the hand. Good players have fewer tough decisions because they play their hands in ways that make their later decisions easier.

Your biggest overall mistake occurred with your ridiculous behavior after the hand, and it's been explained why several times in this thread.

84o you made an ass of yourself in this thread (and on numerous other occasions), please go away and stop spamming crap -.-

the fact you made such a thread is extremely arrogant on your behalf, it implies you 'know' how to play poker very well. it is evident from the hand history that you don't know how to well, it is evident from your advice in other hands that you don't know how to play well, and it is evident from your continued thoughts in this thread that you don't know how to play well. please just stop talking and lose the arrogance.

and don't ever ever accuse LP of giving bad advice as an excuse for you playing badly again. while it is true you will see bad advice here, it doesn't mean you have to apply it. use your brain...although I doubt you're capable.

its so funny, nobody says anything until one person says something and everyone else follows suit. Hilarious. make some decisions for yourself instead of following the pack.

It is not untrue that sometimes the citizens of LP tend to follow the pack, but in this case you're just an idiot. There are only a few people on this site who when I accidentally read their posts I feel the need to scratch my eyes out or shoot myself in the face -- you're one of them.
