you don't need to be strong and you don't need a positive mindset, you need to stop being so emotional about every win or loss and instead ask yourself every single time a hand plays out what your opponent has done in each circumstance, find the patterns and exploit them. You can be as positive as you want about your outlook to poker but all that matters is gaining the insight into each players style. Start with a broad range of tendency you observe from the average player at your stakes, write them all down, write everything you think is the typical way people play AA or sets, then build on that. An example would be at $10nl 95% of every 3 bet is AA or if they push all preflop AA is their holding. Another example, at $10nl people often call 3 bets and fold to almost all continuation bets. So 3 betting can be profitable without strong cards but do not overuse it. Anytime they call your 3 bet and your cont. bet they usually will not fold Turn so do not 2 barrel bluff unless otherwise noted about the individual. The more situations that you can recall from memory as the typical way the hand plays out the easier poker gets. Stop worrying about making money and start learning the game flow of poker. The money will follow.
