Ive played 27k hands at 10nl now and i have to say its ten times harder than 2 or 5nl. I need to stop playing so long and start reading more, ive been putting in like 10 hours avg/day instead of reading which i should be doing as a beginner. Anyway, even though i'm losing im definitely learning a lot and im playing a lot better than when I started at 10nl. Ive started using position a lot more to my advantage and stealing blinds, but i still need to loosen up in some positions and tighten up in others. Also ill be getting my computer soon so ill get off this laptop/touchpad and will be able to play more than 4 tables.

Heres some graphs and stats:

10nl sessions - fucking epic lengths

10nl position stats

10nl general stats

lifetime graph

thanks guys - ANY advice highly appreciated

I think 16/12 is perfect for 6max low stakes.......

advice :

1. never do big bluffs!!!!!!

2. always bet pot size with top pair to extraxt value!!!!!!

3. fold to a lot of min raises!!!!!!

hmm I don't agree with Devon. I find just playing a bunch of tables and playing a 16/12 style works well.

Maybe you're just not playing well post flop. That could be the case..

- don't overvalue AK out of position
- there's not fold equity in these games so don't push draws hard. you can pick better spots for that...

Just focus on your post flop play.

i never played nl10, but i cannot imagine that it's hard. Just play straightforward ABC poker, don't bluff except c-betting, play in position if possible, protect your hands against draws, valuebet them to death since you cannot bluff them!

money won is twice as sweet as money earned.

i am with solarmusic; however alot of the time my response to a min raise when i have a hand is that i will try to get to the showdown ASAP if i have a good hand (tpgk or better)

definitely stay tight at the micro stakes levels

you are playing against bad players which means you want to out play them, not out think them.

i.e. just play your cards, when you have big hands they will pay you off way more than you will pay their hands off, because you dont call flop bets with bottom pair and etc.

what i did to beat the stakes is tighten waaay up which may be bad for higher stakes but i was basically only playing ak and maybe aq + pp's

the key is to not try anything fancy and to let them have it when you have a marginal hand (which may even mean folding queens preflop to a crazy allin 3bet or 4bet or whatever)

i did recognize that there was a huge learning curve at 10NL after 2-5NL

i think it's better to stick to 4 tables.

instead of playing more tables, try opening up your range to build experience in a lot of spots so that you'll actually get better and more prepared for bigger stakes.

i prefer multitabling 8+ tables playing v v tight (like 17/15) to regrind after moving down

and wow.. looks like you're 3betting only the nuts preflop. try raising more pre, including 3bets. definitely search around the forums for preflop topics.

ehhhh i really dislike using absolute words in reference to poker
