thinking of each damn hand pays

Yeah thinking through every decision helps a lot. It prevents the auto-pilot decision making process from taking over. That system tends to miss things and make subtle mistakes even when more information supporting a perhaps a more +EV decision is available.

Think of it like driving a car. When you first start your trying to remember to do everything and paying careful attention. Once you become comfortable everything goes on automatic. Poker can become exactly the same way if you don't make a conscious decision not to let it.

yeah. after running well early this year, my game has never sucked so bad until now, i realize that by playing pretty solid poker and just not mashing the betpot script with cbetting every dry/ace flop, double barreling every turn scare, bluffraising and checkraising at random will i get a decent winrate, and not just autopilot what cardrunners says and some tips from my friends. nowadays it just wont give me a solid winrate on a normal run. im trying to think things through and find a reason for almost everything i do, lostaccount keeps telling me it depends on the opponent whenever i ask him about certain spots, now i realize what he means by that. my 6max game has yet to improve also but for now im just trying to fine tune my FR and not just rely on "general FR" strategy and stack off pf with kk ak against awkward stacks with dead money etc. i must really have a logical reason to do things just so that i know exactly what to do next if villain reacts in such a manner. well i hope i can maintain this train of thought and discipline throughout the rest of the year and always be conscious that poker is a thinking game always.
