At first I thought it was hilarious as I always do when I read about people and their "faith".
One of the hilarious statements include in response to the question: "By the way, if you feel that you were designed rather than evolved, how do you explain the presence of your appendix?"

Answer:

That Knowledge is with the Lord.

Also this extract:

"Can I just ask one simple question?

Approximately how long has man been on this earth? ie. When was Adam and Eve created? Was it 4,500 years ago? Was it 10,000,000 years ago?"

And in response he received these gems in response:

"Allah knows best

could be even longer.

Why does it matter?"

and

"Again, that Knowledge is with the Lord Himself."

Before anyone thinks I'm attacking or mocking the Islam religion in particular I'd like to say that I'm laughing at religion in general.
I'd be interested to know how many people who believe in other religions found humor in those extracts because it seems slightly hypocritical since there isn't a religion that can legitimately say they're superior.

After reading this and laughing, I sobered up a little because some of my friends who I care about believe in a religion and they ARE intelligent individuals.
However when prompted on the subject of their religion become blind and ridiculously close minded...

There wasn't really a point to this post, just wanted to vent.

yeah, in my group of 4 close friends at school we had a really religious person, I always felt awkward that they knew i was going to hell when i died but were pretty content to just live on like its no big deal that according to their beliefs, i was going to rot in un-imaginable pain when i pass =|
