i recently began playing NL100 6m because i want to get better @ different games, and chose a level im over rolled for. i have played a small sample of 10k hands, and i have misplayed a ton of hands, and i was hoping some of LP could review some of my hands and gimme any advice that you have. thanks guys

1. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414543 -when he lead the flop, i figured i was most likely good, and had planned to get it in on the turn, once that 2 fell, it made a set less likely and i thought i was ahead.
2. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414545 -bad call down?
3. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414546 -i am incapable of folding AK?
4. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414548 -guy had 3b my 3.5x raise earlier from CO or button to like 18 or more so and shows 52d so i figured that info coupled with such a huge raise shoving could be profitable here.
5. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414549 -3b this flop ok? what amount if so?
6. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414592 -i guess i have seen other players play AK like this, and he is cbetting this flop everytime so i figured shoving might be profitable since he cant call w/o a high pp this deep(150BBs) i wouldnt think, so AA/KK would have to be his range to call
7. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/414550 -should i play a little slower?
8. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/416756 -idk wtf i was doing. i tried to bluff flop, then turned an oesfd and c/shove =O
9. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/417753 -i shoved for value
10. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418160 -i get a little confused in situations like this
11. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418161 -tried to bluff, guess i should do this
12. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418168 -backed into it, shove river ok?
13. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418169 -this ok w overs and a draw?
14. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418174 -std vs ss
15. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418178 -internet lagged on ftp so i accidentally clicked raise again thinking it just didnt click since it does that sometimes, and i figured after he checks flop behind he isnt calling shove.
16. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/418256 -im no good @ HU, and didnt intend on playing HU, but after he c/c flop and leads pot, i put him on a draw trying to rep the K, so shoved. probly awful but this is the shit i need input on. what should i have done.
17. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/420024 -does he rly have a Q? std.
18. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/420178 -i need to stop clicking instacall putting ppl on draws all the time. how could i play this better(obv folding n not calling)
19. http://www.liquidpoker.net/h/421294 -again 2 overs and a flush draw i figured id go w it. bad?

i guess i'll help out a poor full ring nit

1) i'd much rather just raise flop and get it in b/c i think a lot of the time he leading here with weaker A's and draws; turn is std stack off though as played

2) def not a bad calldown; i prefer betting the flop though b/c you'll get called by lots of Jx's, gutshots, and undercard + one club type hands

3) hmmm pretty interesting spot; i'm really not sure about this one. i might fold just b/c boiler's cold call looks pretty scary and b/c of that isucknojoke will def be 4betting with a much tighter range

4) i think you can wait for a better spot against this guy; his 3bet his just so huge that i doubt he's ever folding to a shove which probably means he's only 3betting solid hands

5) std

6) if you're iso'ing limpers with any reasonable frequency than i'd just rather 4bet/call a shove pf; also i think floating that flop is a lot more credible for a monster than just shoving

7) calling and c/shoving, c/c'ing turn depending on read is far superior imo. his min-r'ing range on the flop is sooo wide

8) i think this is fine really; he probably peels flop with draws/88-JJ and folds to a double barrel often. once you get shoved on you have to call i think b/c there's so much out there and you still have really good equity against Qx

9) i'm not sure why you didn't cbet flop but i think the river shove is fine with the way you played it. don't see any hands that you could really be beat by and he prob calls with worse a decent amount of the time

10) i like your line but once he raises the river it's a really really ez fold

11) yeah you shouldn't, especially with no apparent reason to

12) i usually barrel the turn; std otherwise

13) i like flatting flop a lot better and betting lots of turns when checked to; the problem with raising the flop is that you polarize your range to just draws/monsters which isn't good

14) yeah

15) hate how you played this; just cbet 28 or so on flop or c/f, turn shove is really really big spew

16) yeah this is really bad too; i like b/f'ing turn, c/c'ing reasonable amount and c/f'ing to a big bet

17) bet bigger on flop; std sides that

18) his turn shove SCREAMS monster; ezzz fold

19) depends on his flop c/r'ing range but yeah, std against most players

1. once you took that unorthodox line you can't really get away from it after putting so much in the pot. it's curious that he didn't shove on the turn though and he's showing huge fish strength, but you still probably shouldn't fold this.

2. you lost 10bbs with 2 pairs, who cares

3. with the presumably horrible 30bb stack in the pot i think it's good

4. looks like spewery unless this player is a giant maniac

5. i would 3bet way smaller to encourage action and make him think he has fold equity

6. it depends on your history, i'm usually either happy to get this in pre or am happy to fold depending

7. flat or raise smaller

8. lol. well on the turn you have the betting lead oop and picked up that huge draw, you def have to bet i think. idk how i feel about the flop, you could pick better flops to make this move on.

9. this is brilliant against some players, terrible against others. you know the difference.

10. there's no value in betting this river, you're WA/WB. it looks like he has air with his turn check, now check river and snap if he bets.

11. if you have a hand in this spot you're making huge raises and if you have air you're making min raises, so that's not good. I don't know the history here, just be aware of the affect this will have on future hands with this player, this is a big picture hand. he probably made a note saying you make min raise bluffs in stupid spots. in a bubble this hand is atrocious.

12. i'd usually bet this turn, as played i'd raise smaller on the river.

13. if this is in a bubble it's stupid, if your bluffing with outs and you realize you're building an aggressive image it's good.

14. gross raise on the turn but stnd

15. idk what you think you're folding out that a small flop bet won't fold out

16. yeah he could have floated and yeah he could have a draw, but sometimes you just have to say nh and fold. that's a big turn bet, figure out what it means before you shove 175bbs.

17. his bet sizing is odd and inconsistent. it depends on the player etc., looks like you played it well and sniffed it out though, nh.

18. i'd bet smaller on the turn or check behind, do you really want to play this for stacks? fold the turn as played, but if you make a smaller bet you lose that much less when you're forced to fold.

19. this is much much better than the KJ hand because the board isn't paired, in an aggressive game you should happily get this in.

20. god, post fewer hands lol, nobody is bored enough to spend a half hour looking over your hands (except me obv)

Baal - look is talking hah. Last edit: 10/04/2008 10:46
