lol yeah sorry, i talked for over 40 minutes all for nothing =(
anyway here are the key points that are worth watching / explaining:
@ 3:28 i have AK suited, and a guy open raises to $3 which is really donkish. its important in this situation to check the previous HH's and see whether this guy has been winning alot of pots lately. when i checked he had won like 5 in a row which means he's definitely a huge donk, so the best thing to do there is just shove PF as he's either dominated or we're flipping in worst case.
@ 7:30 i looked at a HH of some person i was up against with AQ and noticed that he/she had AA in a previous pot, flopped a set of aces, and won a pot worth $0.75. so if you see that you can tell that this player is really bad and must be extremely passive or loves slow playing or something. which is great because he/she wont ever raise u so u can dictate the pot size. but the person folded anyway so it was no big deal.
@ 9:00 i had 22, and limped UTG. then another guy who i happened to have stats showing he's tight raised in small blind. so i flat called as its really profitable to set mine at NL5. i hit my set and he led out into me for around pot. the board was dry so this is usually an ok spot to slow play and just flat call, but the reason i raised it is because at NL5 you are deep stacked and so i wanted to put in a good raise so that its easy to get it all in by the river, as that is always your aim once you hit your monster. he called and so then i led out a smallish bet on the turn as i knew it would be easy for him to call, yet still make the pot big enough to easily shove for his remaining stack on the river. if his stack was $5 or less its fine to just flat call the flop and play the turn accordingly though.
@ 11:22 i had top two against a passive donk. villain check called quickly on flop which can often mean a draw. the flush draw completed on the turn which is not the best thing, however i had the A of clubs so nut flush draw, plus i can still draw to a full house against a flush. and villain is check calling with a wide range of hands on that flop. so i bet the turn and villain folded.
@ 14:35 i kind of played this hand really badly. i had KQo and i flatted a smallish 3bb raise. led out for near pot on the flop and got one caller. since it was a 4 way pot and the board had 0 draws whatsoever i didnt know where i stood so i checked, and villain led out for $0.25. this made me think he was really weak / a donk so i flatted as KQ is a little too marginal to raise here. then on river i felt he probably had a one pair hand that was weaker than KQ so i bet $1 into $2 pot, he called and showed KQ too so i dont know if this hand was played alright, but i dont mind it either.
@ 17:42 flat call 99 against an early position raise. this usually means a tighter range but not nescessarily at NL5. preflop raiser led out for half pot which struck me as being really weak, so i raised. he flatted. at this stage i didnt know the player so i went through some past HH's to try and get a read. he had played one big pot before with AQ and i noticed he raised it up really huge preflop, to $1.20 or so. since he had raised it really small here i felt he had a weak hand, and almost never an overpair that beats my nines. so he could only have 8x here which beats me on the turn, or some other random low pair. so i bet out turn and he folded.
i might make another one with sound working some time if anyone would find it helpful |

@9:25 you folded 99 at the mid table on the right with no raisers, PF from a decent position. Why is that? |

ahh at 9:25 i accidentally auto-folded cos i was concentrating on the hand where i had a set, normally raise there
at 12:30 yeah you can probably limp call there, i just forgot to in this spot, but as you move up and play against better players its no longer good to limp/call under the gun with low PP's as you wont get paid enough to make it profitable
but yep at NL5 definitely be limp/calling ur PP's so raise the 9's and limp/call the 6's |
