PLO is the satan. First it lures you into thinking that you can beat it, then it makes you run worse than a crippled turtle. Here´s few tips from my PLO50 adventures:
Don´t lose control over yourself, it´s so easy to start playing every single hand because those cards are just so pwetty. Your stats should look just about the same as in hold em, maybe bit higher VPIP since the games are fairly passive and you can limp to see flops. Also hands are much weaker in here than in HE so don´t overvalue them
Position is about 47,6 times more important in Omaha than hold em. I hardly play any big pots OOP.
Abuse the fish, stay away from people who know what they are doing. Though at PLO5 or PLO10 there probably isn´t anyone good there... Some fish are callstations who you can just pot pot pot it, some aggressive monkeys who you play shit passive.
I´m fairly horrible at Omaha, but by remembering these 3 gives me a good profit at PLO50. |
