also coulda spent 100k fpps to get $1500 bonus and spend $1000 to get a dell 30inch.. sounds like a better deal to me

3.1k is a lot considerin all of these components arent even top of the line except the OS, ram, and speakers

I ordered my 30" LCD about 2 months ago, havent arrived yet :/ But at least they credited me 25,000 FPPs back for the delay which is good

Motherboard: MB ASUS s.775 P5e WS Pro, iX38, 2x PCIe x16
Disks: 1x WD RAPTOR 74GB, 10,000 spm, 5.2ms lat., SATA, 16MB cache + 2x Seagate Barracude ES.2 500GB, SATA, 32MB cache, 7200 spm
+ all the other necessary stuff like case, dvd, ...

Total cost around $3,500, which is somewhat more than what I wanted to invest, but I am probably still getting it.

geforce 9 is out, could get that.
if ur gonna spend over $2000 might as well get 10k rpm raptors on raid 0.
i would definitely go for quadcore as many new games are takin advantage of it like crysis and stuff.


if u dont wanna spend $1.3k on 9650 u could go for an overclocked 6600. i shopped around when gettin my pc and an overclocked 6600 performs as good as a QX6850 on 3.0ghz.
i think ATI gfx cards runs on lower temperature and power consumption and better for overclockin stability. and the X2 cards performs really well on benchmarks.

and i suggest u save couple hundred and get a 64bit vista basic tho i would definitely prefer 32bit xp for compatibility issues.

32bit systems only support 3gb max ram. i dont know how vendors bypass that.

and the dell 680 series is reallllllllllllly sick for the price. seriously. their tech support is v good also, the indians there are very smart.

lol stuff in UK is so fuckin expensive. i think the 512 gts g92s are only like in the mid 250s
